Not what it says on the tin !

After seeing the reviews for the Spatz pro 2, i decided to part with my hard earned cast. Who doesn't want warm and dry feet during our harsh wet winters. First spin was a bit damp and not too cold, feet stayed warmish, just what my usual overshoes achieve. I did notice that around my calves it was fairly damp after the spin, but were warm, so not too bad overall. Second spin it lashed rain for about an hour into a 3 hour spin, i thought well at least my feet will stay dry. Well my feet were soaked through. Considering i cover the shoe vents with electrical tape during the winter, the rain didn't get through there so how were they so wet ?? Most recent spin was a short one. It was dry and very cold, 2 degrees with a wind chill of -3 degrees. Within half an hour my toes were absolutely freezing. Considering i was wearing thick Merino wool socks i thought with the overshoes my feet would stay warm. Not a hope, they kept my calves warm which is not what i bought them for. Maybe i'm doing something wrong, after seeing other reviews, but don't think i am. I wouldn't recommend these unless you suffer from cold claves. The only thing that's guaranteed with these is your pocket will be a lot lighter. Only one star as there isn't an option for no stars unfortunately.
